Tonneau is Cartier's second oldest watch, which was introduced in 1906 (two years after the first Santos). With its elegant DNA, elongated case, and rounded curves, it quickly became a classic. However, this style is not widely known, possibly overshadowed by the brilliance of the Tank series during the same period. One of the most famous users was the composer Stravinsky, but he also became the best footnote of this series: intellectual elegance, combined with a sense of power. Most of what we encounter in the market nowadays are the CPCP large barrels, all of which come with high prices. A chance encounter led us to this special mini Tonneau, which may not seem stunning at first sight, but upon closer inspection, it becomes heart-stirring. The Roman numerals and scales on the dial radiate with the lines of the case, giving a three-dimensional feel to the fingernail-sized case tool, perfectly beautiful on the wrist. With a quartz movement and in perfect condition, paired with a brand new crocodile leather strap, it is seeking its destined owner.
