Citizen 1970s Citizen Manual-Winding Chronograph | Serviced Single Watch Ref.67-9011

Price: HKD 9999
In 1972, diplomatic relations between China and Japan were normalized, and China gifted Japan two pandas. The following year, Citizen released the Panda Watch to commemorate the occasion. In the movie Once Upon a Time in America, Brad Pitt wore a gold version of the same model. In recent years, there have been reissue versions, but unfortunately, they all use quartz movements, and the case design does not replicate the original's slimmer profile, making them slightly less appealing for collectors.
The Citizen Ref. 67-9011 Challenge Timer Bullhead features a flyback function and is equipped with the 8110 movement, which was introduced as Citizen’s response to the Seiko 6139 at the time. The key differences are that the 8110 has a manual winding mechanism and a flyback function. Pressing the button at the 11 o'clock position starts and stops the chronograph, while the button at the 1 o'clock position resets it. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, features a vertical clutch design, and includes a quick-set date and day function.
This watch has been preserved in nearly original condition, with no polishing. The movement has been serviced by Nicky Sir and is in excellent working condition. It comes with a one-year warranty and is available in our workshop, waiting for the right collector to appreciate it.
