Compared to the well-known Overseas, the name Quai de l'Ile (奎德利) may be less familiar to the market due to its somewhat difficult pronunciation. Unlike the grandeur of "venturing across the seas," its name simply originates from en l'Ile, the historic flagship store location of Vacheron Constantin in the heart of Geneva. This area was also renowned in the 19th century as the birthplace of the famed "cabinotiers" (loft craftsmen) and has since transformed into a bustling city center. This origin unintentionally adds a sense of historical depth and a touch of French elegance to the collection.
The watch case, crafted from a combination of 18K rose gold and titanium, blends both sporty and formal aesthetics. During the servicing and disassembly process, we were particularly impressed by the ingenious design of the case. The layered structure of the case lines gives it a rich visual depth—sharp and dynamic like a sports watch, yet exuding the poised elegance of a gentleman. Through the transparent case back, one can admire the in-house VC Cal. 2475 automatic movement, proudly bearing the Geneva Seal, the highest certification of craftsmanship and technical excellence.
