The Vacheron Constantin Les Historiques 92084 was released in 1989, reviving the brand’s iconic 1940s design featuring tear-drop soldered lugs. Back in the 1930s–1960s, due to limitations in manufacturing techniques, highly skilled jewelers often crafted lugs using wax casting before soldering them to the case middle. This artisanal process gave birth to an era rich with imaginative and unconventional case designs. Unlike today’s CNC milling which demands mass production, such methods allowed creativity to flourish even in one-off or small-batch pieces.
This 92084 stands out with its refined two-tone dial: a creamy inner circle paired with a brushed satin-finish outer ring, complemented by a small-seconds subdial. The result is a watch that feels both vintage and exquisitely delicate. Inside beats the manual-winding Cal. 1014, freshly serviced by our workshop and running in excellent condition. The watch comes with one-year service warranty.
