The sandwich dial is a design from the late 1930s of Panerai, composed of two overlapping thin plates, with the upper thin plate hollowed out at the positions corresponding to the hour markers, allowing the luminescence to shine through, ensuring high legibility even in extremely low light conditions. The watch is equipped with the P.9100, Panerai's first self-winding chronograph movement, with the unique feature of placing the chronograph minutes in the center of the dial, jumping forward every 60 seconds. Additionally, it is equipped with a very practical flyback function. This allows the PAM00524 to instantly reset the running chronograph hand to zero and restart without the need to stop, reset, and restart the hand, simplifying the operation. With over 300 components, this Panerai is extraordinary. The PAM00524 shared today was purchased by the owner in 2015 at a European boutique, rarely worn, in extremely new condition, complete with the watch box, warranty card, manual, price tag, and two original straps (rubber and leather), making it truly rare.
