POPULAR QUESTIONS

How long does it usually take for a watch to be oiled?

The longer the wearing time, the higher the wear and tear; but the less wearing, the lubricating oil in the movement will dry out over time and generate sludge, which will make the operation not smooth. Generally speaking, mechanical watches need to be oiled and maintained every three to five years.

How to determine if full service is needed?

The easiest method would be to place the timepiece on a watch tester to check whether the balance parameters are within reasonable and stable levels. If the amplitude is too low, then lubricant should be applied; if there is a large, or if there is an abnormal difference observed between days, professional maintenance oiling and repair should be considered.
