You may familiar with airking, but this mid-sized vintage striking vintage mid-size Rolex Oyster Speedking is incredibly rare find. A piece of Rolex history, the Speedking made its first appearance in the 1940's and brought with it a classic design that is just as relevant today as it was when it first debuted. It was named after the “King of Speed” Sir Malcolm Campbell, a Rolex fan and breaker of speed records. On 4 September 1935, he set a land speed record of over 300 miles per hour – while wearing his Rolex watch.
Within the 30mm Oyster case lies a silver dial with an appealing minimalistic design. The dial is set with index hour markers, alpha hands topped with lume, and the name "Rolex Oyster Speedking" displayed just below the Rolex logo at the 12-hour marker. The simplicity of the Rolex Oyster reference 6148 will win you over from the moment you put this vintage timepiece on your wrist.
This Rolex is powered by a calibre 1210 manual wound movement with 17 jewels and is in excellent working condition. This model Ref: 6148 features a gold-plating 30mm Oyster case with original crown and screw back. The plain polished gold-plating bezel and the Plexiglas under close inspection having slight micro markings on them but to the naked eye highlights the charming dial below. We decorate this vintage rolex with cornflower blue goat leather, bold contrasting colors, intricate patterns, and a vintage dial make this watch exude infinite charm.
