Among Cartier's many watch collections, the Ronde series is not considered mainstream. This may be because Cartier enthusiasts tend to prefer collecting models with unconventional cases. However, the Ronde also has a rich history, designed by Louis Cartier in 1937 with the aim of creating a low-key, elegant dress watch.
Today, I want to share this large 42mm Ronde, which features the classic elements of the Ronde series: a coin-shaped round case, ultra-short drop-shaped lugs, and a radiating Guilloche dial. Most striking is its thickness of just 7mm, paired with a beautifully crafted manual-winding movement visible through the transparent case back. The diamond bezel, a hallmark of the "Jeweler to the Kings," speaks for itself in terms of quality.
Such a design may not be easily worn by the masses, but those who can wear it are undoubtedly “like jade among men.” Our workshop has this piece in stock, in like-new condition, and you are welcome to try it on!
