In 1992, Patek Philippe introduced the barrel-shaped Perpetual Calendar wristwatch 5040 series. With a case size of 35.5 * 36 mm, it is suitable for both men and women.
It features a transparent case back, Cal.240/114 self-winding movement, 22k pearl rotor, 48-hour power reserve, and Geneva Seal. The vintage silver dial showcases the perpetual calendar function, applied hour markers in a three-dimensional Breguet style, and a black barrel-shaped minute track. The watch also has leaf-shaped hands.
The 5040 series was designed by watch master Gérald Genta, featuring a barrel-shaped case in gold, which exudes a classical charm. The 5040J had a relatively limited production during its manufacturing period. Its rarity and appeal among collectors make it a highly sought-after and precious timepiece.
This 5040J is in excellent overall condition, with accurate timekeeping and proper functioning of the perpetual calendar. It comes with the original Patek Philippe strap and buckle. It does not include the original packaging and certificates, but they can be obtained by buyers from the brand separately.
