Today we are sharing an extremely rare vintage JLC watch - Ref. 9107. This model was produced by JLC in the 1970s and is characterized by its rectangular case and the typical 70s patterned dial. The original watch came with a crocodile leather strap. The dial of this watch features a dark brown totem motif with an exotic flair. The owner later paired it with a gold-plated bracelet, adding a touch of vintage charm.
The watch is equipped with JLC's in-house caliber 818/2 movement, which functions well. Cal. 818 was produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre in the 1950s, operating at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. It was also used in contemporaneous watches by Vacheron Constantin and Chopard.
The owner purchased this watch in Hong Kong in 1982, and it is in excellent condition, accompanied by its box and papers. It is truly a rare find.
