At the Basel Fair in 1965, Omega exhibited a brand new design of the Constellation watch, marking a new phase for this series. Its shape is somewhere between circular and barrel-shaped, with the edges on the left resembling two "C" letters facing different directions. Hence, it was called the "C Watch,". Whether it was named after Rolex's Oyster series or due to its similar shape remains unknown. The earliest C Watch used the 564 movement with a plain bezel; later versions switched to the cal.752 movement, with the bezel changing to a toothed ring. Today, this "abalone shell" is entirely made of 18k gold, with the original case and bracelet. The movement features the cal.751 automatic "red meat" movement, in good condition with a gold textured face, an eight-star observatory case back, a total length of 19.5cm, and a net weight of 107g including the movement. The movement operates normally, and it is recommended to undergo a full maintenance service. Our workshop has this item in stock, and viewing is welcome.
